Ideas for Your Own eBookWrite about what you love.In a few months you could be selling your own profitable eBook. Impossible? Not if you write about what you love. Everybody knows something valuable. You've seen the ads promoting college credit for life experiences. Well, you've got life experiences and knowledge that other people are willing to pay for. There is a market for your knowledge and experience. But, me? What would someone want to know about me? You may have:
Yes. People are interested in what you have accomplished. They'll gladly pay to learn from your knowledge and experience. You can give them them help and inspiration. And, believe it or not, you've got a story to tell. In fact, here is a short list of eBooks other people have published. You'll want to examine these pages for two reasons:
Writing an eBook is only half the battle. The other half of the battle is marketing it. So, look closely at these pages to determine what you like and what you don't like.
Pick an eBook Idea That SellsIt's hard to pick just one eBook topic. How do you go about picking just the right topic? There are so many things you could write an eBook about. Which eBook subject is the right one? One way to do this is to go online and find out what other's are interested in learning. There are a couple of good ways to do this:
Subscribe to NewsgroupsA newsgroup is an online forum. People send messages to the newsgroup and they are published for everyone to read. You can replay to a message about a particular topic or you can submit a message about a new topic. There are over 10,000 newsgroups. Some are general in nature and some are very specific. Your newsgroup reader will allow you to see the names of all the newsgroups and select the ones you wish to join. Whether you're using AOL, Sprintnet, or most any other Internet service provider, you'll have access to thousands of newsgroups. You can search the list of newsgroups by name and select those that are related to your interests. You can select some of the newsgroups and click the "Subscribe" button. You will then find the newsgroups in the newsgroup area of your browser. By clicking on one of the newsgroups you can see what other people have contributed. As you become familiar with some of the "conversations" taking place you can contribute. You may also ask questions that may help you understand the problems other people have. These discussions can help you find out what people might pay money to learn. Search for Related WebsitesYou can use any of the popular search engines to look for websites that relate to your eBook topic. As you find websites, you can see how they approach your topic. You may want to buy some of their products to see what they have to say. This may inspire you with new ideas. You may think of new ideas or different ways to express a idea:
Don't forget this important point. If you are serious about writing your own eBook and selling it, all your purchases of items related to your eBook work are tax deductible. They cost you less than you think. You should think of ways you can present your eBook material in a fresh and novel way. This way, you can advertise your eBook as something important that is a "must buy" item.
